GuardianSignal Terms of Service
These terms govern use of GuardianSignal, an Android health monitoring and caregiver alert app for families. By using GuardianSignal, users agree to use the app responsibly and only for lawful, authorized caregiver and family safety purposes.
Not Medical or Emergency Advice
GuardianSignal is not a medical device, emergency dispatch service, or substitute for professional medical care. Alerts, health samples, and notifications may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or inaccurate. In an emergency, call local emergency services.
User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for keeping account credentials secure, inviting only authorized watchers, getting permission before monitoring another person, maintaining device connectivity, and checking that phone, notification, Health Connect, Google Health API, wearable, and location permissions are configured correctly.
Health and Location Permissions
GuardianSignal reads health or location information only when the user grants the relevant permission or connects a provider account. Users can revoke permissions through Android settings, provider account settings, Google Account permissions, or app settings.
Availability
GuardianSignal depends on phones, networks, third-party services, wearable providers, operating-system permissions, and backend services. The app may change, pause, or stop operating at any time, especially during testing.
Acceptable Use
Users may not use GuardianSignal to harass, stalk, impersonate, gain unauthorized access, monitor someone without authorization, or violate laws or third-party rights.
Testing Builds
Test APKs are provided for evaluation and may include unfinished features, debug controls, or temporary behavior. Users should not rely on a test build as their only safety or emergency plan.
Changes
GuardianSignal may update these terms as the app changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
